Kris, I just wanted to say that the stool arrived and it is JUST BEAUTIFUL! We have a stool that our daughter received from our neighbors when she was born 13 years ago and it still stands in the kids bathroom. Last week I received two puzzle stools which were ordered a couple of weeks before. They are absolutely perfect!!
One of these ordered is for my ninth grandchild and the other is for a godchild. I have purchased name puzzles for each of my grandchildren (this is number nine) from several different vendors. None have been as nice as yours and all were priced about the same.

My youngest son, Bo, just turned 21 years old. He's got a great job, bought a car and announced he is moving into his own apartment! Moving day came and Bo gathered all his strong friends and rented a large truck. I cried as I thought his entire life had just be crammed into a U-Haul. Then Bo stated there was just one more item to pack. He raced back to the house and returned with his "Bo Stool." The stool road shot gun in his car -- completely seat-belted in! My wife and I have been giving your name stool to friends and family for over 20 years in celebration of a new birth. I have no idea how many we have ordered but it has been many. We started this "tradition" as a result of our daughter, Amanda, receiving one of your stools when she was born nearly 23 years ago. She still has the stool and uses it to get things off the top shelves in her home. She is expecting her first child in July and my wife and I will continue the "tradition" when our first grandchild is born. This little story is not the reason why I am writing but, I thought you would enjoy hearing about our tradition with your product. I guess this would have never become a tradition except for the fact that your company's name and address was stamped on the bottom of Amanda's stool. Amanda loved to play with it for hours on end and used it to wash her hands and brush her teeth but only after we made her put the puzzle pieces in the proper place.

The reason I am writing is this. We have friends in Germany and they were blessed this week with the birth their first child, Jennifer. We want to send a stool but are concerned with the cost to ship it to Germany. We were shocked today when we took a box of Christmas gifts to UPS to ship to Germany. The shipping cost was three times the cost of the gifts. Would you please let me know how much it will cost to send a stool to Germany. We would really hate to break such a long tradition.

I believe I had first heard about your puzzle stools from someone who had seen them, perhaps at the Art Fair on the Square in Madison,Wisconsin (is that possible?) My daughter received a step stool from your company as a baby gift. She is now 3 year's old. We love the step stool-- it is one of her favorite things. Unfortunately, we lost one of the letters. Her name is Brooke and the step stool is painted in pastel colors. Unfortunately, we lost the first "O" in her name. The letters we do have are pink, orange, green, blue and purple. I had to laugh when you wrote "The "baby" will recieve their stool...". The "baby" is a 47 year old man my sister's husband. When my sister and Vic had thier second child Evan they received a Damhorst stool as a baby gift-- that was 19 years ago. Vic and Evan are always fighting over who will get to sit on the stool. It is so funny to watch them sitting on the stool watching TV -- it is actually comfortable to them. Vic's birthday is August 4, and I plan to give it to him as soon as i receive the stool. This is not only as a joke, but i really think he will like it.

As I mentioned, Richard Shearer and Patti Shearer Reil introduced us to your products in 1981 by giving us one for our first daughter...Amy is now a junior at UGA and still has her stool!
